Has anyone ever driven a Communist era vehicle? I know many Oppos have, and I think we can all agree on how fantastic they are. What was the secret? Love? I think the closest America has come to building a Commiesque car would be the Ford Crown Victoria, or any Panther platform beast. It was built like a tank, you could take it on road, off road, through snow, mud, rain sleet. The heater worked at -80* you could fix it with Duct Tape and more duct tape and when you saw one slowly rolling up to you in a dark alley in the middle of the night....you knew there were some bad dudes looking for you. Is this the end of an era? Are cars from all forms of government becoming too advanced for their own good? I want a technology delete option, and leaf suspension back AND front!

For you. (If you are not familiar with it, it was a TV show a long time ago).

Pretty much any full-framed sedan with a beefy, lazy cast iron piece of Americana up at the front and a solid axle in the back will work

The 65-70 GM B-Body comes to mind because they made so damn many of them.
